Music, Entertainment, Food and Lectures
The Mooresville Festival will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2005, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (rain or shine). The festival committee approves invitations to artisans, musicians, lecturers, food vendors, and other participants . The quality of authentic artisans makes our festival unique in its portrayal of life in the nineteenth century. If you are interested in participating at the festival, please contact: festival@mooresvillealabama.com.
We advertise our event as educational and all entertainment and exhibitors are to be consistent with the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. We ask the exhibitors and vendors to dress in period costumes. Generally, the men wear suspenders with their shirts and pants, and the women wear simple long cotton dresses with aprons and bonnets. This extra touch sets an atmosphere of early nineteenth century Mooresville and it generates more interest in items for sale. See photos for the appropriate type of attire the vendors have worn iat past festivals.
Along with the appropriate attire, we ask all vendors to demonstrate their trades and or crafts. Our festival is a portrayal of life from the early days of Mooresville's history. If you would like to become a vendor, visit the vendor application page: Vendor Application.
